How to Choose the Ideal Stream of Engineering?

Once you decide to choose the field of engineering, you have to prep your mind as per the stream. Consider the best options for your career and how to prepare for entrance exams. To prepare for it, you have to consider these things -

What will be covered in the entrance exam?
To seek admission in the top engineering colleges in UP, the All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) is the most popular exam to clear. It is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), up to 30 NITs (National Institute of Technology) and five IITs (Indian Institute of Technology).

Have a look at the structure
Structure of the examination is common for both architectural and engineering candidates. There are two categories of exam –
Part 1 – It includes subjects like Chemistry, Physics and Math for B.Tech and BE students.
Part 2 – It includes subjects like Drawing, Mathematics and Aptitude for B.Arch. candidates.

Both of these parts include multiple choice type questions and each question has 4 choices and students are required to mark the correct answer. In checking, negative marking is assigned for each wrong answer, in which 1/4th of mark is deducted for any wrong answer. When marking the answers, students have to be careful. There are maximum 3 attempts to appear in these entrance exams in consecutive years.

The Ministry of HRD (Human Resource Development) in 2011 conducted online mode of these tests for first 1 Lakh students.

Only a small number of students appear for the exam can make way to this process.  Separate counseling is conducted for first two days, especially for the students in SC/ST category as well as physically challenged ones.
